Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar panels and associated equipment.
  • Electrical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical systems, including DC and AC circuits, inverters, and wiring.
  • Safety Awareness: Adherence to strict safety protocols and awareness of potential electrical hazards.
  • Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and address issues in solar systems, including performance and connectivity problems.
  • Solar Panel Cleaning: Skill in cleaning and maintaining solar panels for optimal efficiency.
  • Quality Control: Attention to detail in installation and maintenance to ensure long-term system performance.
  • Tools and Equipment: Competence in using specialized tools and equipment required for solar system work.
  • Customer Service: Effective communication and customer interaction for service calls and inquiries.
  • Technical Documentation: Record-keeping and documentation of service calls, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Problem Solving: Analytical thinking to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new solar technologies and industry trends.
  • Physical Stamina: Physical fitness to handle equipment and work at heights when necessary.
  • Environmental Awareness: Understanding of renewable energy principles and sustainable practices.
  • Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications, such as NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) certification for solar professionals.
  • Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated on the latest solar technology developments and industry best practices.
  • Tests electrical systems of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures using testing devices such as thermal cameras, IV curve tracers, multimeters, etc. to ensure compatibility and safety of the system
  • Troubleshoots and repairs DC and AC electrical systems including testing for open circuit voltage, operating string current, IV curves, insulation, resistance, and thermal imaging
  • Generates material and scope for recommended actions
  • Ensures the vehicle, tooling, electronics, software, and company property issued are accounted for and taken care of
  • Attends training courses
  • Acts as a team player in the ongoing development and improvement of the service team

  • Full time on site
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, State, and Federal regulations.
